PROJECTS
Final Major Project of University
ALTITUDE is my final major project at Falmouth University and is the culmination of everything I have learnt while at university. This sequence comes from the opening of a wider Sc-Fi experimental film of a Jett fighter pilot suffering from PTSD. The opening here shows the warfare the pilot was apart of.
Altitude has a collection of stunning plates composed together showcasing the seamless integration of digital visual elements from multiple mediums into one. These plates demonstrate the skillful blending of multiple layers to create captivating and realistic final shots.
Although my main interest comes in for compositing during Altitude I worked on all aspects of the project, including scene creation, 3D lighting, animation and simulations.
ALTITUDE
University Project
Being a graduation project meant I had to deliver quality content for the sake of everyone involved in the film. ODE TO THE RED DEER is a medieval fantasy film about a power struggle in a lord's castle. The film follows main character Faylinn returning home after years at sea to reclaim her castle.
My role on ODE TO THE RED DEER as a compositor involved integrating together digital assets onto the live action footage as well as cleaning up errors and mistakes that shouldn't be in frame. These assets include 3D Objects like a sailing boat as well as 2D assets like candle flame.
Aswell, I was on set for the whole shoot evaluating the logistics and viability of all of the VFX work. This included setting up tracking points

SHOWREEL
Over the last 2 years now I have had the privilege of working on a variety of projects while at Falmouth university trying, testing and ultimately improving my skills in Compositing as well as general VFX. I've also added in individual plates for many of the final shots to help give some perspective on each individual layer. This show reel demonstrates a wide range of work with skills involving compositing, simulations, 3D scene dressing, colour grading and video editing. Here is a short reel of some of my best work in that time frame. Enjoy!
